Originally implemented in the ActionScript 3 language (the reference implementation), PureMVC is a lightweight framework for creating applications based upon the classic Model-View-Controller design meta-pattern.

Driven by community contribution and cooperation, the framework is now being ported to all other major languages and platforms. Associated with each Port are Demos and Utilities, some unique to the Port, some cross-pollinated from another Port.

The Manifold Project is about integration of the community contributions into the codebase with a focus on creating reusable, 'off-the-rack' utilities that extend the framework's capabilities.
